1st period I felt antisocial and wasn't too friendly to Kelley, but I did manage to offer insights about
Heart of Dakrness that made Ms. Krebs go "mm-hmm" and nod in agreement as I was speaking. That's a pretty good reaction for me in English. It was about some BS about the ruined fence around the station being related to personal restraint... which reminded me of barriers, which was ironic.
2nd period On the way to class, I fell down the stairs.

My ankles were really sore from volleyball (and I'm wondering if it's related to the new shoes), so when I stepped down the first step, it was enough force to cause a lot of pain and my ankle decided that something was wrong and told my leg to stop supporting my weight. So I fell down maybe four or five steps, bruising the palm of my hand and my knee (not that it wasn't already bruised from hitting the floor in practice). Amazingly, there wasn't really anybody around to witness this graceful feat.
3rd period I was still feeling crabby, but we had a free period and spent it talking about movies, our hopeful trip to China, and girly stuff, which is always good for cheering me up.
4th period Calculus. The test tomorrow is going to bite.
5th period Before class, some girl threw up in the hallway right near me, which would usually be enough to get me freaked out for the rest of the day. But I dealt with it okay this time, losing myself in creating a highly detailed, neatly-written, and color-coded but out-of-order timeline of pre-WWII Bolshevik Russia.
6th period Physics is... physics. Mr. Martz is not that great of a teacher, but he's a nice, if weird, guy. I wish I understood some of the stuff we just did last week, because it'll be on the exam on Friday and I don't really get it.
7th period Web design, yay! Our final project is basically to create a web page that brings together all of our projects from the semester and put them online. Mine's not finished yet, so some things are messed up and it doesn't have a profile (which is a required element), but it's
here* if you feel like looking at it. I'm actually rather proud of how my design skills have shaped up- there is really obvious improvement from the beginning to the end of the semester, and the final project homepage is perhaps the crowning achievement (at least design-wise, since the content is still lacking). I'm especially a fan of my cleverly-conc
octed CSS link effects

. I developed them first on the 2nd-to-last project, but I think they're more successful on the final homepage. One improvement I'll make to the whole project if I have time is to create an image instead of text to link the project pages back to the final homepage, because the text link I have now is more vulnerable to the link properties of the individual pages than an image would be, and it tends to both look weird (especially on the page with the hover effects) and clash with the existing color schemes.
* Note that if your browser or screen resolution is not the same as the school computers, then you're probably not going to see this in the perfection that my teacher will see. I'm not good enough to make it look good cross-browser yet.
